The iconic TV show from 1998 that made us want a pair of Manolos in our closet is having a reboot this year and we are SO ready. Who doesn’t want to see Carrie Bradshaw’s looks again? People all over the world are still following her trends two films and six seasons later! The truth is, all four women made fashion statements every single episode and we want to review them with you (And honor SATC’s stylist, legendary Patricia Field!). Grab a seat, we are traveling back in time!
Christian Dior by John Galliano for a fight
If you thought Kim Kardashian made this dress iconic first, you are sorely mistaken. Bradshaw made a clear fashion statement on the day this episode aired and marked it iconic forever. The John Galliano for Christian Dior Newspaper Dress is from Christian Dior’s Spring 2000 Ready-to-wear Collection and it will forever be remembered as the dress she was wearing when she went to confront Natasha (yes, that Natasha) at a restaurant.
Getting married in Vivienne Westwood
Is there anything more iconic than wearing Vivienne Westwood to your wedding? Gifted after Vogue magazine’s bridal photo shoot, Carrie added a pair of Christian Dior gladiator heels with custom Swarovski crystal embellishments to her big day look.
Logo Fendi coat
Aired on 1999, Miranda Hobbes said yes to Fendi coats and made them a ‘90s must-have for cold weather. The red turtle neck sweater and hair pairing deserve a 10.
A little Chanel never hurt nobody
Samantha Jones wearing Chanel. That’s all. The brand made a couple of appearances on the show, but this particular look was a game changer. Patricia Field’s work through the show was impressive since the very first episode.
The iconic tutu
Patricia Field bought this tutu from a showroom in New York for $5 dollars. Yes, you read it right: five dollars. Who would’ve thought this particular accessory would become a part of Carrie’s iconic SATC intro look?
Wearing Jean-Paul Gaultier
It seems like Mr. Big (and not the Judith Leiber he gifts her) was a perfect complement to this iconic Jean Paul Gaultier Spring Summer 1996 dress worn by Carrie Bradshaw herself. She made a statement and made us want to iron our hair every day!
