Who exactly ruled 2021’s red carpets and streets, style-wise? There are hundreds of influencers and celebs changing the game at the moment, but only a few made powerful statements and left a mark in our 2021 collective memories, according to the year in fashion report by Lyst. But who are they exactly?

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna

A true influential couple in the fashion industry. These two made the world stop back in July, where they filmed a music video together and within 48 hours Riri’s corsets and leather bustiers along with Rocky’s black trucker cap and combat boots were searched online over and over again, according to Lyst.

Harry Styles

One of the best-dressed musicians according to GQ, known by his unparalleled taste in fashion and musical domination is for sure part of this list. Alongside his music, Harry’s sense of style has evolved over the years and keeps getting better and better. Thanks to his famous world tour and numerous magazine covers, Styles has made several fashion statements this year.

Lady Gaga

If you’ve been reading our articles, you may know we are HUGE Lady Gaga’s fans. Her influence after filming House of Gucci was so big, 67% of searches (according to Lyst) were about her and her outfits.  Some of her go-to brands include Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen and Valentino.

Tyler, The Creator

His recent album, ‘call me if you get lost’ released last June was so big, he practically created a new fashion era. With a string of successful collaborations with Converse, Lacoste, Jeni’s ice cream, etc. It seems that the rest of the world is witnessing his success once again.

Kai (EXO)

This ex EXO member went solo in 2020 and released a collab with Gucci in 2021, the first time ever for the brand to work with a South Korean star. Gucci’s sales increased for over 267% according to Lyst, which changed the game completely for the brand in that region.
